If you unplug them or turn the power strip off, you’ll have to reprogram them upon return. •Close all binds and window coverings. Happy Thanksgiving, Dan

Stop Yelling - Save Energy

11/15/17 West Middle

According to Fossil Fuels magazine, if a person yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, he/she would create enough energy to heat one cup of coffee! That’s a ridiculous way of thinking about energy use but it goes to show easy it is to forget how much energy our life style requires. What ways can you reduce your energy consumption?

Projectors

11/09/17 Gleason Lake Elementary

All the projectors were cleaned, and teachers were reminded to shut them down when not in use to save energy.

Turn off Projectors

11/08/17 West Middle

Not only does it waste energy to leave room projectors on when not in use but it also adds cost to the district by decreasing the life of the bulbs. You can help save energy and reduce equipment wear by remembering to turn your projector off when not in use and at the end of each day. Students, you can help too. If you notice a teacher has forgotten to turn off their projector, politely remind them at an appropriate time. Together, we can make a difference!
